VenturaMarijuana.com is a delivery-based Medical Marijuana collective that serves the Ventura County communities. We provide legal, private, professional, and compassionate care-giving straight to your home or office.
Yes. In 1996, the voters of California passed Proposition 215, also known as the Compassionate Use Act. Within California, the Act allows for the recommendation by a physician for the medical use of marijuana by a patient, and the cultivation, transportation and use of marijuana for medical purposes by patients and caregivers. The Compassionate Use Act exempts patients, caregivers and physicians who recommend the use of marijuana for medical purposes from criminal laws, punishment, or the denial of any rights or privileges. California Senate Bill (SB) 420 (Chapter 875, Statutes of 2003) was written into law in December of 2003 (see California Health and Safety Code, Article 2.5, Sections 11362.7 through 11362.83) and is part of California law to this date.
VenturaMarijuana.com adhere’s to California state law very closely.
To register as a patient you must have a legitimate medical reason for the use of medical marijuana. This use of marijuana has been confirmed by a CA licensed physician who has determined that your health would benefit from the use of marijuana in the treatment of your illness. You have obtained a written, dated and signed recommendation from this physician. The physician’s recommendation is considered valid for 1 year or the date which has been stated on the written recommendation; whichever is shorter as our patients must be in regular medical contact with their physicians. Ventura county recently started providing ID cards to medical marijuana users. To obtain a Ventura county ID, please visit their Medical Marijuana Identification Program website for complete information. The ID card is NOT required to utilize VenturaMarijuana.com’s services, although we highly recommend it as it confirms to any law enforcement agent, official or representative of any authority that you have a state confirmed recommendation from a physician.

8. What is the difference between a Sativa & Indica?
“Indica and Sativa are the two main varieties of the cannabis plant used as medicine. There are many strains that are crosses of those two varieties. Within each of those varieties and crosses there are a huge number of individual strains, each with a different cannabinoid profile and effect. According to anecdotal evidence, the Indica strains are a relaxant, effective for anxiety, pain, nausea, appetite stimulation, sleep, muscle spasms and tremors, among other symptoms. The Sativa strains are more of a stimulant, effective in appetite stimulation, relieving depression, migraines, pain and nausea. We are now aware of specific strains that are effective for specific conditions and symptoms.”
Indica: The effect from an Indica strain is generally a body type effect, relaxing and laid back. Indica plants have a heavy effect recommended for evening use.
Sativa: The Sativa dominant strains contain a higher level of THC than CBD which equals a cerebral, soaring effect, more energetic which can stimulate brain activity.
